How it works
The Ghillie Kettle is a double walled boiler with a chimney running up through the center.
Once filled with water, put the whistle cap on the spout and build a small fire in the base. Add fuel by dropping it down the chimney. The heat transfer from the large surface area of the chimney quickly heats the water. You'll have a nice rolling boil in about 4 minutes with a bit of practice in nearly any weather conditions.
When you hear the whistle, lift the kettle off the fire base by holding the handle 90° from the top of the chimney and set it aside. Remove the whistle cap and use the handle and chain to pour. Refill the kettle and repeat as more hot water needed. NEVER BOIL THE KETTLE DRY - it will ruin it and void the warranty.
